Professor Alex Lee is a Professor of Medicine and Therapeutics at the Chinese University of Hong Kong and serves as the Director of the Echocardiography Laboratory at the Prince of Wales Hospital. In 2018, he was also appointed as the Director of the Laboratory of Cardiac Imaging and 3D Printing at the Li Ka Shing Institute of Health Sciences. Currently the Vice-President of the Asian-Pacific Association of Echocardiography, Professor Lee is an esteemed alumnus of the Mayo Clinic and has made significant contributions to cardiovascular medicine and imaging. He has published over 300 peer-reviewed articles on echocardiography and cardiovascular medicine and serves as the section editor for echocardiography for JACC: Asia. At CUHK, he is the principal investigator of more than 20 clinical trials and has received numerous prestigious accolades, including the State Ministry of Education First-Class Award, the ESC Young Investigator Award, the CUHK Research Excellence Award, the Hong Kong College of Physicians Distinguished Research Award, the Distinguished Young Fellow award, and the Richard Yu Lectureship. Recognized internationally, he was elected as an Expertscape Expert in 3D echocardiography, a testament to his pioneering contributions to the field.
